Besides being completely busy with photo assignments..I had the opportunity to continue my busy week with halloween activities, my mother in town, flea markets, and yummy food..ending my week hosting a wonderful dinner party with friends before this week started.
a mini photo journey..
spent Halloween dressed as zombies, and attending our friends 1st annual Zombie Ball. However, FX makeup is not to forgiving on my face. My face is still irritated from it.
My mother came into town. We ended up going to the Kane County Flea Market. I actually walked away disappointed with it. It seems that Flea markets aren't what they use to be. Things are now grossly overpriced for what you are getting, and its becoming to crowded with fake designer bags and cheap market items that are store bought. I dunno..it just seems that the excitement of finding amazing finds at thrift stores and flea markets are over, and now too popular that you have to pay department store prices just to feel like you are finding something original..
Its disappointing when something great about markets and thrift stores become to mainstream to really consider these areas as golden treasures.
Before her departure, we went to have breakfast together at Orange with a Peel. Loved the decor, and how light and airy it felt. Plus our waitress had the best braided hair I've seen in a long time!
I think my mother is still absolutely stunning! I wish she could see how beautiful she really is.
I love it when my mom comes to town, and hopefully I can make it back home to see her soon.
